Having trouble getting motivated?

Well, you're not alone. Most of us, left to our own devices, struggle with this from time to time. If you find yourself saying, "I have to do this," a lot, however, it may be time for some self-examination.

Getting motivated to market your business shouldn't be a chore. If it is you have two choices.

One is to quit. If you're not excited enough about your business to where you think about it all the time, you're wasting your time. You're treating your business like a hobby.

If you don't stay awake at night thinking about it, burning with enthusiasm, anticipating the next day like a kid on Christmas eve, just forget about it. Lukewarm just won't get it.

Stop wasting your time getting motivated for something you really don't want. Just get out.

Another choice you have is to write down your ideal lifestyle. Be sure to include all the details. What color is your new Jaguar? Will your ocean front house be in Southern France or the Bahamas?

This should provide enough spark to get you off your butt so you can at least begin getting motivated to do what you need to do.

Then, you've got to surround yourself with supportive people. What's that? Nobody in your life fits the bill? Then go buy Zig Ziglar and Brian Tracy. Pick up a copy of Jim Rohn while you're at it.

Books, CD's, music, DVD's, and even live seminars can be your substitute for a support group. Listen to the CD's while you drive. Be sure to find a style that fits.

For example, if you have lots of tatoos and piercings, an older gentleman in a suit probably won't assist you in getting motivated a whole lot.

When you find a motivational style that suits you, it's important that you immerse yourself in that completely. Listen to or watch it repeatedly.

If you have an upline member who is successful, call him or her repeatedly. Talk to them until they tell you to stop calling. Pick their brain, read their blog, view their videos.

This is somebody who has what you want. Find out how they got there, and copy what they did.

Getting motivated is extremely difficult to do alone or, even worse, if you're surrounded by negative, lazy people. As a network marketer, however, it is your job.
